Things are on the up!

Ok, sorry its been a bit manic which is why I haven't posted in a while! IOW was lovely, the weather was great. We went to the beach, Alum Bay, model village, Oasis furniture place and Gods Hill. Had some good laughs and it was nice to relax again. I even got up at 7am with Steven to go running! Get me!

Anyway, when we got back I had an email from The Brewery asking me to come in for a second interview! I went on tuesday, and once again felt pretty happy with how it went. I was pleased as the senior designer seemed keen on my work, I felt very comfortable talking to them and felt a bit in two minds when I left. They were talking to me like I already had the job again and that makes me so nervous as it gets your hopes up!

I was working most of the time when we got back a BABW, its very quiet this time of year now. But then on weds (day after interview) I had a message from my mum saying Pete from the Brewery had rang and wanted me to call him back. I was soooo nervous when I made the call, and then he was on lunch! I phoned back later, and they offered me the job! I was so excited, shocked, happy, overwhelmed all in one go!

So there we go, I've got a job! Well, another job as BABW is obviously a job, just not a full time position. I have to send my letter of acceptance tomorrow, very excited as I'm starting on the 1st. Also sad to leave BABW as they've been so good to me and it was my first job.

I've been steadily working on my homework for the Ickenham crop, think I'm nearly there!

Pieces of me...

What a week!!! I was manager for two days at work, quite stressful but also quite exciting. Then there was a tube strike which created chaos for my journey to and from work, fun!

I've applied for a work placement at a famous book company and had an interview today with another design company. I also viewed a flat twice but then discovered that the landlady didn't seem particularly brilliant: we wanted to ask some questions about the appliances and their condition before we agreed to express our full interest, but rather than just letting us ask these questions, the agent wanted our exact moving date which had to be within a week, wanted us to agree to a one year contract with NO break clause...etc!! All before we could even confirm our issues and express our interest. Was very annoyed as it was the perfect place, it just needed a new oven and a freezer. But we won't sign to that pressure without answers, and if this is the attitude of the landlady then i don't think she would have been too interested in replacing things...

Today I've been faffing around with my camera as I realised I haven't yet made a start on my homework for the Ickenham crop. I need at least 60 photos of my life in general, so today i tried the dreaded self portrait! Steven left today for the Isle of Wight to see his Dad, I'm meant to be going sunday, so I took pics myself! I'm actually quite liking some of them which is unusual for me...here are some of them (maybe I'm just vain???)

Am off to see We Will Rock You tonight, think its my third time? Maybe 4th....I just love it. Scaramouche, the lead female character, is like my idol haha. Even though I hate being in front of an audience and being centre of attention, when I watch her character on stage I wish I was her up there! How bizarre! Thats all for now :)

Back to reality

Boo hoo. I officially hate this country and I've only been back around 2 days...

Malta was amazing, 40 degrees most days if not more on some, very nice and tanned now! Spent a lot of my time chilling by the pool and enjoying doing nothing but relaxing. Had a lot of laughs with the gang, saw my Dad quite alot which was nice. His flat that he's renting is fabulous! Absolutely gigantic, wish I could pick it up and plonk it down somewhere here its so huge and new and lovely!

We went to the beach, ate out every night, went to Sicily for the day, visited Comino (sister island to Malta), had fun at the pool and took the gang to some of the typical tourist sites as they haven't been before.

I'll post a selection of photos but I took about 1200 in total! Whoops!

A good time all in all!

But since I've been back its all stress again. This flat hunting stuff is driving me nuts, and job hunting. I had an interview offer before I went away, they wanted me to come the day before I left. I asked for a time to check I could do it, and never heard back. Then with flats there is a particular new block of flats near the station which we've been trying to view for the last couple of months, but there is never anyone in the office to talk to, or when I get someone the places have already gone! Don't know what more we can do. I finally had a viewing for this set of flats today and the guy rang this morning to cancel as the flat had gone! I've now rang two other agents with flats in the same place, both busy so said they would get someone to ring me back. Have they? As if. Bloody ridiculous, don't know how anyone manages to get these places... :(

Nearly there...

There being Malta! Been super busy this week planning for my holiday next week, and was working mostly too. Been driving around a bit which has been fun! We had some friends over for dinner on friday to try out some Gordon Ramsey Fast Food recipes. We still haven't got rid of the fish smell....

Sat I worked, sunday I got up at 6am to drop Steven at the station, came back and packed a bit then went off to the crop, back again at 5, then straight out to staff meeting and someone's leaving do! Very hectic. Had a good night out though, my work lot are a bit loud and crazy so it takes some getting used to. We went to a pub, then a cheap chinese buffet, then onto another bar, then tearful goodbyes at the station (Stephanie is going back to France so not just a leaving do for another job, but for another company). I made her a little mini book to remember me by and the things we got up to:

Now I'm finishing packing for the holiday, can't wait for the sun. Particularly helpful that today is cloudly and a bit pants so makes me wanna go more! Beach, pool, heat! Yay!!

See you when I get back!

More Mr Bloom

Ok so I went back to "see" Mr Bloom last thursday, got in the front row of crowds waiting outside hehe. When he came out, he was in front of me, so I bundled up my courage and asked a question! When I went to the Kingdom of Heaven premiere I had a huge pink banner, when he spotted it he stopped and thanked me for it, said it was really sweet and asked if he could sign it. So on thursday, I asked him if he remembered a big pink banner at the KOH premiere. He said "I do, yeah" and I said "well that was mine!" (maybe I was expecting a medal??). He looked at me with a big smile and said "thanks, it was really sweet" and he looked like he was considering what to do next (hug, kiss??). Then he put his hand on my face, like cupping my side of my face and said "thanks love." I nearly died. I just stood there grinning away. Didn't get many good pics cos they were all up his nose due to him standing in front of me! Then he said "have you seen the extended version of KOH?" To which I replied "yes I have" and he said "what did you think of it?" I said "its really good, much better" and he said "I think so too." I then said "i'm glad they released it, and he agreed.

How cool is that? My own little chat with him hehe. AND, I was the only person he stopped to have a chat with. Everyone else he still said hello, how are you etc. Woo hoo!! Oh and when he came out, because there were so many people he was like "were all of you guys in the play?" as he knew and he was smiling when he said it. He was really lovely once again. I might go back before he finishes in Sept with a mini pink banner which says "another pink banner to remember" and push my luck for a hug or kiss. Worth a shot I think!

Apart from that I've been holiday shopping for clothes and bits and pieces. Got my hair cut today and I'm really happy with it for once! Felt very cool driving home in my sunglasses with my new styled hair. Could get used to that...

Thats all really, nothing else to report as its been normal.

Swoooooooon!

Wow, Orlando Bloom is still gorgeous as ever, even with his funny facial hair for the play. I had brilliant seats, was very pleased! I was in the Royal Circle, right in the middle and three rows from the front of the balcony, so had a clear and excellent view. Could see all his facial expressions well and he looked lovely! the play was quite good, thought he did a really good job. It was an odd play, at times I was completely baffled as I didn't quite follow the story, but it had good laugh out loud moments.

Afterwards I headed to the stage door, and it was already jam packed! The whole street was filled with people, luckily I still got near the front. I was very impressed with the crowd though as they didn't give him any trouble when he came out. There was no hysteria so he stayed and signed for people, he tried to talk to us too which was really sweet, asking things like "how are you?" etc etc. When he got to me he looked at me as he took my programme and smiled, I smiled back, and when he handed it back he looked at me again, I said "thank you" really calmly, and he said "no worries". He was very lovely, again!

So here are my pics, sorry about the tags...
